The soul of the unborn is amphibian. The aborted child of Norma will not live alone. Especially without Mother. If only the soul could be exorcised as easily as the flesh. The ghost would have no water to breathe; or salt to resurrect within the broken body of Norma. Isaac wants to wake and feed. Again and again.
Soon the new mother learns her son has many eyes. Whether agitated and floating behind an aquarium glass within the soft meat of a pollywog, hidden dark within the face of her loving husband, or grinning adorably up at her in the flesh of a child she never carried to term; Norma will soon know that the responsibilities of motherhood sometimes come with an unspeakable price.
